Greetings family and friends my name is Ms. Jacqueline Jackson-Murray and I am the Id Moderate Special Education Teachers for levels K-2 at Sanford Creek ES. I have work in the field of "persons with special needs" for over 20 years. I began my journey managing a day program for adults, later working in the residential sector. I never suspected that my journey would lead me into the classroom, but 7 years later I still feel right at home. I myself have 2 children who are bound for higher learning, leaving me not only feeling old, but with a since of accomplishment. It is my hope that you too will get to feel the joy of watching your children reach new milestones, as the years quickly progress. My daughter Trayjona is now a senior in HS and enjoys working with my students during her school breaks. The students have come to love her as she have come adore them all. My son who is diagnosed with Specific Learning Disorder has recently graduated of HS and will embark in the work force, to gain life experience before he possibly enters higher learning. It's ironic that I chose this field before starting my own family. Having a child with needs makes me want to continue my support in the field, for the simple reason that I've witness all things are possible with the right tools.
I simply ask that you enjoy each moment, not taking even a second for granted. Look at your child each day, smile and say "Job well done" for the smiles on their faces each morning tells me that they are loving life to the fullest. My job as their instructor is to meet them where they are, as I gradually encourage them to reach new heights. "No Limits, No Boundaries". You are their 1st teacher and you should be proud of the efforts made thus far towards their long journey of life. Together we will continue to "Strive for Excellence, Why not the Best"!
